Our custom designed Castle Explorer provides the opportunity to discover the picturesque southern counties of Ireland while staying in luxurious accommodations. We begin in Ireland’s Viking capital, Waterford, where you will drive by scenic coastlines, beautiful valleys and mountain ranges. Next, is a two night stay in the picturesque town of Killarney, surrounded by County Kerry’s magical landscapes. Your driving holiday continues on a high note at Dromoland Castle, one of the most impressive and distinguished castle hotels in Ireland. Lastly, enjoy two unforgettable nights in the beautiful village of Malahide, by Dublin.

Dublin to Waterford
Arrival
Collect your rental vehicle in Dublin and head south. Stop off in Kilkenny, a city dominated by ancient buildings such as St. Canice’s Cathedral and Kilkenny Castle. Travel onwards to Waterford, a city famous worldwide for its crystal.

Ireland's Ancient East
Behind the bustling seaport of Waterford a maze of narrow streets evoke the atmosphere of Waterford’s medieval past. Visit the Medieval Museum followed by Bishop’s Palace for a look into the ‘Ancient East’. This afternoon, a visit to Waterford Crystal, where you can discover how the world famous crystal is made.

Cork & Killarney
Drive through Dungarvan to Cork to Killarney. Loads to see and do today. Cork city, Ireland’s second largest with its English market; the village of Blarney with its ‘stone of eloquence; Cobh – the last port of call of the Titanic and the Jameson Heritage Centre in Midleton to learn all about Irish whiskey.

Ring of Kerry
Spend the day exploring the Ring of Kerry on one of Ireland’s most beautiful peninsulas. Ladies View offers some of the more spectacular views of the Killarney valley. Visit Muckross House and Traditional Farms in Killarney National Park.

Limerick & Adare
The Shannon region is richly endowed with visitor attractions like Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, King John’s Castle in Limerick City and Adare village with its line of thatched cottages to name just a few. A Medieval Banquet in a 15th century castle should appeal.

Cliffs of Moher & The Burren
Enjoy all that Clare has to offer from the unique lunar landscape of the Burren to the spectacular Cliffs of Moher. Cross the central plains towards Dublin. Enroute visit Cashel where the majestic Rock of Cashel is not to be missed. Visit the Irish National Stud and Horse Museum in Kildare.

Discover Dublin city. Stroll to Merrion Square in the midst of Georgian Dublin or take in the trendy Temple Bar area with its restaurants and bars. At Trinity College view The Book of Kells.
