A day out with lots of free time in the medieval city of St. Andrews, home of golf, and the picturesque old fishing villages in the East Neuk (corner) of the Kingdom of Fife. We recommend this tour for those who love coastal scenery, big white sandy beaches and all the royal history of St. Andrews, home of Golf and Scotland’s oldest University. There’s time for shopping too! 
This tour visits the village of Falkland which was used for filming scenes in the recent "Outlander" series, based on the books by Diana Gabaldon.

Please meet at 9:15am.  The tour departs at 9:30am and returns at approx. 6:00pm same day.

9:30 AM to 6:00 PM

This tour takes you to South Queensferry to view the Forth Rail Bridge. Then travel into the medieval Kingdom of Fife, following the coastal route through the pretty fishing villages in the East Neuk of Fife (including stopping in Anstruther). This gives you approximately 3 hours to enjoy the historic city of St. Andrews. You can visit its cathedral, castle and University, shop at leisure and take a walk along its beautiful white sandy beach next to the Old Course, the home of golf.

You then travel westwards through the heart of Fife, stopping in the historic village of Falkland, home to James V’s historic Renaissance Palace. From here you return home to Edinburgh.

This tour visits Falkland, used as a film location for the “Outlander” series - based on the books by Diana Gabaldon.
