This wonderful 4 day tour captures the spirit of Scotland like no other. You will travel through the dramatic Glencoe highlands, learn of the many battles for Urquhart Castle, cruise on Loch Ness, visit Speyside and watch an impressive sheepdog display. All this before enjoying free time in the historic city of Edinburgh.




Loch Ness & Inverness


Depart Glasgow for Inverness travelling along Scotland’s West Coast and Loch Ness. Highlights of the day include Loch Lomond, dramatic Glencoe, a visit to Urquhart Castle and a cruise on Loch Ness in search of Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster.

Isle of Skye


Today a day trip to the Isle of Skye, one of Scotland’s most beautiful islands. First stop is Portree, capital of the island. You can enjoy some free time here, exploring the multicoloured harbour, or warming up by a real coal fire in a local pub. On our return to Inverness, you will visit Eilean Donan Castle.

Culloden & Speyside


Today we head to Perthshire via Culloden Moor, site of the 1746 Battle of Culloden. Before leaving Speyside, stop at Kincraig for an impressive display from the Working Sheepdogs. Continue onto Perthshire for a distillery visit, where you will sample hand-crafted single malt whisky. On arrival at your hotel, you will be welcomed with another "wee dram!"

St. Andrews & Falkland


Depart Perthshire for Edinburgh via the Kingdom of Fife. You will stop at St Andrews, home of Scotland’s oldest university and capital of golf. After lunch, head to Falkland to visit the village and the Palace, built by King James V in 1539. It became a favourite retreat of the Stuart Dynasty including Mary Queen of Scots.

Return to Intercontinental Edinburgh The George Hotel for 5:00pm. Tour ends.

Tour departs from Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow at 8:15 am on Day 1 (Please meet tour in lobby no later than 8:00 am).

All triples are on request (Dunkeld House does not have triple rooms suitable for 3 adults; 2 rooms may be booked at this hotel).
