Picture a group coach tour that begins in the heart of Scotland, followed with a scenic ferry journey north to the Shetland Isles. Where you will experience the unique blend of Norse and Scottish culture, the rugged cliffs of Eshaness, the charming capital of Lerwick, and the historic ruins of Jarlshof. This is a journey that feels like stepping into another world—quiet, wild, and utterly enchanting.

Next, the tour will continue south to the Orkney Islands, where you will uncover ancient wonders like the Neolithic village of Skara Brae, the standing stones of Stenness, and the mysterious Ring of Brodgar. Staying in Kirkwall, with its stunning cathedral, local crafts and folklore.

A group coach tour to Shetland and Orkney is not just about the destinations — it’s about the journey itself. Travelling north with NorthLink Ferries becomes part of the adventure. Guests board in Aberdeen and settle into comfortable private cabins for an overnight sailing across the North Sea. As the ship gently makes its way north, there’s time to enjoy dinner in the restaurant, relax with a drink while watching the sunset over the water, and feel the quiet excitement of heading somewhere truly remote. Waking in the morning to the sight of Shetland’s dramatic coastline appearing on the horizon is unforgettable — a peaceful, almost magical arrival.
