Meet your driver-guide in Glasgow as we begin this exciting sightseeing tour exploring Scotland’s Inner Hebridean Islands. Travelling west through beautiful Highland scenery, we stop in Inveraray where you will have time to explore this charming town at your leisure. Continuing onward to Oban, we enjoy a tour and tasting at one of Scotland’s oldest and smallest distilleries before checking into our hotel. This evening, gather for a welcome dinner and your first taste of Highland hospitality.
Departing Oban by ferry, we sail to Craignure on the Isle of Mull. Enjoy a scenic drive across the island’s rugged landscapes as we make our way to Fionnphort. From here, a short ferry crossing brings us to the sacred Isle of Iona, one of Scotland’s most important historic and spiritual sites. Enjoy time to explore the island, visit the famous Iona Abbey, and take in the peace, beauty, and history that make this small island so special. Later, return via Mull to Oban. This evening is at leisure to explore the harbour town and enjoy dinner at one of its many excellent restaurants, traditional pubs, or renowned fish and chip shops.
Today we journey north through Fort William before joining the famous Road to the Isles. Along the way we pass the iconic Glenfinnan Viaduct and Monument before arriving in the fishing village of Mallaig. Enjoy free time to explore before boarding the ferry across the Sound of Sleat to Armadale on the Isle of Skye. After arriving on Scotland’s most famous island, continue to your hotel for a three-night stay.
Today is dedicated to exploring the spectacular Trotternish Peninsula, home to some of Scotland’s most dramatic and unforgettable scenery. We visit famous landmarks including the Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock, and the Quiraing, each offering breathtaking views of Skye’s unique geological landscape. Those wishing to stretch their legs may enjoy a short walk through the enchanting Fairy Glen, a magical landscape of winding paths, miniature hills, and ancient-looking trees. Today we explore Skye’s beautiful western peninsula. Our first stop is Sligachan Bridge where, weather permitting, we enjoy spectacular views of the Black Cuillin Mountains. Local legend suggests that anyone who washes their face in the waters beneath the bridge will be granted everlasting beauty by the fairies. Continuing west, we visit Dunvegan Castle, ancestral home of Clan MacLeod for over 800 years. More than simply a historic castle, it remains a living family home filled with fascinating stories, traditions, and Highland history.
