Today you will leave the Brecon Beacons behind as you travel up to North Wales. Visit the town of Bala along the way. Travel on the Bala Lake Railway along Bala Lake, or ‘Llyn Tegid’ as it is called in the Welsh language. The delightful narrow-gauge railway offers amazing views of Llyn Tegid and the surrounding countryside including the imposing mountains of Arenig Fawr, Aran Benllyn and Aran Fawddwy. The wildlife nesting alongside the line is well worth keeping a look out for and includes herons & buzzards.
