1

Winchester & Stonehenge

Sunday

Departure Point – Collection from outside the Hilton London Victoria Hotel in London at 09:00am.

We begin this exciting new tour with a stop in Winchester, here you have a chance to soak in the history as you wander through the ancient streets of this small city. You may want to check out The Great Hall, one of the finest medieval halls in England, where legend and history meet. Our next stop is Stonehenge, one of the most mysterious places on the planet. Primitive technology somehow hoisted these enormous rocks into a grand circle. It may have been used as a place for healing, a gigantic clock, or a spiritual graveyard. No-one knows the answer. But that's half the fun. In the late afternoon we arrive in Cirencester, known as the capital of the Cotswolds and our base for the next 2 nights.

Bath & Lacock

Monday

Our day starts in the UNESCO City if Bath, an elegant city full of traditional heritage, culture and some of the finest independent shops in Britain! We have a walking tour and guided tour of Bath Abbey, followed by free time for you to explore on your own. The village of Lacock is our next stop, a chance to explore the historic streets of Lacock, a quintessential English village with timber-framed cottages and local shops. With its central grid of four streets, Lacock today looks much as it did 200 years ago. Included today is a delicious Cream tea!

Blenheim & Oxford

Tuesday

Our journey today starts at Blenheim Palace, a masterpiece of Baroque architecture and home to the 12th Duke of Marlborough and his family and the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. Our tour allows us to discover the Palace and hear about each rooms history and its exquisite collection. Next, we visit Oxford, the City of Dreaming Spires. Famous the world over for its University and place in history. Here you have free time and if you choose you can join your Tour Manager for a walking tour and see one of the College’s. We arrive at our hotel located in the centre of the charismatic market town of Woodstock.

Windsor

Wednesday

Windsor, lovers of The Crown can immerse themselves in royalty, as this town is about as regal as it gets. You will have a walk about with your Tour Manager and enjoy a cruise along the River Thames – sit upstairs in the open air or downstairs to enjoy the view as we pass the beautiful sights along the Thames, listening to a live commentary from your skipper. You will have free time and this evening, dinner is on your own, you can choose to dine at one of the many restaurants and pubs.

Richmond & Wimbledon

Thursday

Richmond Upon Thames, probably London's most attractive borough, it has long been a favourite retreat for Royalty and the rich and famous, including King Henry VIII, Queen Elizabeth I and King George III and Ted Lasso! You will have time to stroll around town and maybe stop by The Prince’s Head Pub! Next, we arrive at Wimbledon, for an award-winning behind-the-scenes tour, the perfect way to see this world-famous site. You’ll see the facilities used by the world’s best tennis players as well as broadcasters, learn how Wimbledon’s distinctive grass is cared for and how the site has changed and improved each year. Tour ends at approximately 4:30pm. Drop off outside the DoubleTree by Hilton London – Victoria Hotel.
