Our first stop today is Tate Britain. Here we have a light lunch to get us refueled followed by an introduction to the very best of British Art. Discover much-loved favourites alongside new contemporary artworks, from the Pre-Raphaelites to David Hockney, Bridget Riley and Lubaina Himid. Tate Britain is also home to the world’s largest collection of works by JMW Turner. After we head to our scrumptious 5* hotel where we spend the first 3 nights. Tonight, our Welcome Dinner is just a short stroll from the hotel at a local restaurant.

The Royal Borough of Windsor, Europe’s longest-occupied palace, Windsor Castle has been a residence for the English and British Royal Family since the reign of Henry I at the start of the 12th century. With over 1,000 rooms and more than 300 fireplaces, it is also the largest inhabited castle in the world, with some 500 people living and working here. You will visit the castle and explore at your leisure. You will have free time in Windsor before we make our way to a quintessential English tradition, Afternoon Tea aboard a riverboat. Relax as we cruise upstream past the famous royal Windsor Racecourse and Eton college before heading downstream to see the most famous view of Windsor castle from the river

York
We bid farewell to London and board the LNER, First Class, to York.
Arriving in York, your luggage will be collected by the hotel team as we will embark on a walking tour of this small and mighty, medieval walled city. Included is a visit to York Minster, the largest Gothic church in Northern Europe and one of the world’s most magnificent cathedrals. There is so much to see, like the 15th-century East Window, which at 24 metres is the largest expanse of Medieval stained glass in the world. After we walk back to our divine 5* hotel allowing some time to enjoy yourself before our dinner is served in the hotels AA Rosette restaurant.
Heading into Yorkshire we start the day with a private pre-opening tour of Castle Howard, one of Britain’s finest stately homes, situated in the Howardian Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Built over 300 years ago, today it remains home to the Howard family. We experience the House through the eyes of our passionate House Guide and gain insight into the Howard Family and the beautiful and varied antiquities in the House. After you will have time to explore the house and vast grounds and gardens. After we enjoy a lovely lunch in a North York Moors pub.
Spend the day soaking up the charm of York at your own pace. Wander the medieval streets, uncover hidden gems, or enjoy a relaxing afternoon by the riverside. With its rich history, independent shops, and inviting cafés, York offers the perfect blend of discovery and relaxation.
Departing York Station, we sit back and enjoy a scenic journey to Edinburgh in our First-Class carriage. Again, we are met by the hotel team to collect our luggage as we alight at Waverley Station. We continue with a walking tour of Edinburgh’s Old Town – the Royal Mile. We finish as we step into a world where tradition meets innovation and embark on the Journey of Flavour at Johnnie Walker Princes Street. This isn’t just a tour; it’s an interactive adventure that brings to life the rich history and craftsmanship behind Johnnie Walker whiskies. The tour includes a customised cocktail, tailored to your taste profile. Then it is just a few steps to our final, exquisite, 5* hotel which has held a prominent spot in the city centre for over a hundred years. This evening you are on your own to discover Scotland’s capital city.
We have an early start as we make our way to Stirling for our private pre-opening tour of one of Scotland’s greatest stone castles – Stirling Castle. Generations of Scottish monarchs have enlarged, adapted and embellished Stirling Castle. Explore its three main enclosures and then admire the refurbished Royal Palace – childhood home of Mary Queen of Scots. The palace’s lavish design drew on European Renaissance fashions to show off James V’s power and good taste. The palace interiors as they may have looked when the Scottish king’s grand scheme was complete. You will have free time at the castle and in the town. Lunch today is in an award-winning converted farm steading, known for its exquisite food and warm welcome. Next, we make our way a family run farm where you can have your photo taken with a Highland Cow in its natural environment: The Menteith Hills. Learn about our sustainable farming practices, our role in rewilding efforts, and fascinating facts about the ancient inhabitants of Glenny and enjoy a hot drink and home baking from The Pantry.
Enjoy the freedom to explore Scotland’s captivating capital on your own. Stroll the cobbled streets of the Old Town, discover boutique shops and local galleries, or relax with a whisky in hand at a cozy café. Whether you’re seeking history, culture, or a quiet corner with a view, Edinburgh has something for everyone.
This evening, we enjoy our Farewell dinner with Scottish Folklore at the Hotel.
