Your Tour Manager will meet you on arrival at London Gatwick Airport as we begin our journey westward into the English countryside. Our first stop is the awe-inspiring Avebury Stone Circle, one of the finest prehistoric sites in Britain and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Next, enjoy lunch at a charming country pub before continuing to the elegant city of Bath, where we spend our first two nights. This evening, gather together for a welcome dinner.
“Oh! Who can ever be tired of Bath?” wrote Jane Austen, and today you will discover why. Enjoy a guided exploration of this elegant Georgian city, including the Royal Crescent and Pulteney Bridge.
The highlight of the day is a visit to the Roman Baths, one of the best-preserved Roman sites in the world. Constructed around 70 AD, this remarkable complex served as both a religious sanctuary and social gathering place.
The remainder of the day is at leisure to further explore Bath at your own pace. Compact and walkable, the city is home to excellent shopping, historic streets, and a vibrant food scene with plenty of dining options for this evening.
Bidding farewell to Bath, we continue southwest toward Cornwall. Our first stop is the medieval city of Wells, home to one of England’s most magnificent Gothic cathedrals. Enjoy a guided visit with an expert cathedral guide as we discover over 800 years of history and architecture.
Continuing onward, we stop for a delicious farm lunch before arriving in Newquay, one of Cornwall’s most beloved seaside towns. Here we spend the next two nights.

Today we explore some of North Cornwall’s most picturesque coastal communities. Begin in Port Isaac, a quintessential Cornish fishing village famed for its narrow winding streets, whitewashed cottages, and as the filming location for the BBC series Doc Martin.
Continue to Padstow, a charming harbour town made famous by renowned chef Rick Stein. Beyond its celebrated culinary scene, Padstow boasts a rich maritime history and scenic coastal charm.
Enjoy a wonderful day discovering Cornwall’s dramatic coastline and seaside character.

A more relaxed day as we make our way to St Ives, often considered the jewel of Cornwall. With its galleries, beaches, cafés, shops, and winding lanes, there is plenty to explore during your free time in this vibrant seaside town.
Art lovers may wish to visit the Tate St Ives, the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, or the St Ives School of Painting.
Later, enjoy a traditional Sunday Carvery Lunch before continuing to Falmouth, where we stay for the next three nights.

Falmouth
Today showcases the flavours and traditions of South Cornwall. Our first stop is Philleigh, located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where we enjoy a hands-on Cornish pasty making experience using a traditional family recipe.
Next, visit Tregothnan Estate, home to Britain’s first tea plantation. Enjoy an introductory talk and tasting session while learning about the history and craftsmanship behind Tregothnan Tea.
This evening, following dinner, enjoy authentic Cornish entertainment.

Perched dramatically above Porthcurno Bay, the Minack Theatre is one of Cornwall’s most extraordinary attractions. Carved into the granite cliffs by the vision and determination of Rowena Cade, this open-air theatre offers breathtaking coastal views and a fascinating story.
Later, discover the iconic St Michael’s Mount. Depending on the tide, we either walk across the ancient causeway or travel by boat to this enchanting tidal island crowned by a medieval castle and church.
Home to the St Aubyn family and a small island community, St Michael’s Mount is one of Cornwall’s most magical and historic landmarks.

Leaving Falmouth, our first stop is The Lost Gardens of Heligan, one of England’s most remarkable garden restoration projects. Hidden and overgrown following the First World War, these magnificent gardens were rediscovered and restored to their former glory.
We then continue to Plymouth, Britain’s Ocean City, where maritime history and coastal scenery combine. Visit Plymouth Hoe, home to the famous statue of Sir Francis Drake and sweeping views across the harbour.
Our day ends in Sidmouth, a charming seaside resort and gateway to the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. We spend the next two nights here.

This morning we explore Dartmoor National Park, a rugged and atmospheric landscape of rolling moorlands, granite tors, and ancient history. Home to the famous Dartmoor ponies, this protected landscape is one of England’s most scenic natural regions.
Later, continue to Exeter, one of England’s oldest and most historically rich cities. Enjoy a walking tour introducing its Roman origins, medieval heritage, and vibrant modern atmosphere, followed by free time to explore independently.
Return to Sidmouth this evening.

Leaving Devon behind, we journey east into Dorset to visit Athelhampton House, one of England’s finest Tudor manor houses. With over 500 years of history, beautifully preserved interiors, and stunning gardens, it remains one of Dorset’s most treasured historic homes.
Enjoy an included lunch featuring a traditional Dorset Cream Tea before continuing to Dorking for our final evening together. Tonight, gather for a farewell dinner and raise a glass to our unforgettable journey through Devon and Cornwall.
