Itinerary

Killarney

Begin your adventure at Dublin’s historic Heuston Station before heading southwest through the lush countryside of Kildare, Ireland’s horse country. Along the way you’ll pass charming towns, historic landmarks like St. Brigid’s Cathedral, and the rolling pastures of the famous Curragh.

In Cork, travel by coach to Blarney Castle, where you can explore the gardens, shop, and kiss the legendary Blarney Stone for the gift of eloquence. Continue on to the colorful seaside town of Cóbh, visiting St. Colman’s Cathedral and the beautifully restored Heritage Centre, which tells the story of Irish emigration and the millions who set sail from its port.

The day ends in Killarney, where lively pubs, traditional music, and warm Irish hospitality await, making it the perfect close to your journey.

Killarney

After a hearty Irish breakfast, set off on the world-famous Ring of Kerry, a route celebrated for its spectacular scenery. This journey takes you past Ireland’s highest mountains, sweeping coastlines, and through picturesque villages, with plenty of opportunities for photo stops along the way.

Highlights include a visit to the Kerry Bog Village Museum, offering a fascinating glimpse into 18th-century rural life, and—weather permitting—views of the dramatic Skellig Rocks, famed for their appearance in Star Wars. Enjoy lunch en route and a stop at the colorful village of Sneem before continuing on.

The tour circles the majestic MacGillycuddy Reeks, follows the shores of Dingle and Kenmare Bays, and concludes with breathtaking views of the Lakes of Killarney from Ladies View. Return to Killarney for a second evening of relaxation, dining, and lively traditional entertainment.

Galway

After breakfast, depart Killarney and travel north to Limerick, crossing the River Shannon with views of King John’s Castle, one of the city’s medieval landmarks. A short city tour introduces you to Limerick’s rich history, from its medieval charter to famous figures such as Frank McCourt and Richard Harris, before continuing on to Bunratty.

Explore the 15th-century Bunratty Castle, beautifully restored to its former glory, and wander the adjoining Folk Park, which recreates traditional Irish life in centuries past. From here, the journey continues into County Clare with a stop for lunch at a local pub, followed by a visit to the spectacular Cliffs of Moher, towering high above the Atlantic Ocean.

The tour then follows the coast through the unique limestone landscapes of the Burren, with photo stops along the way, before passing through the charming villages of Ballyvaughan and Kinvara en route to Galway. The day concludes in the heart of Galway City, where your evening is free to enjoy the lively streets, music, and atmosphere of Ireland’s cultural capital.

Galway

After breakfast, depart Galway for a transfer to Inis Mór, the largest of the three Aran Islands. This rugged island is a stronghold of traditional Irish culture, where the Irish language is still widely spoken and the landscape remains largely untouched.

Highlights of the day include the Seven Churches, a historic monastic site, and the dramatic pre-Christian fort of Dún Aonghasa. Perched on towering cliffs overlooking the Atlantic, this ancient stone fort offers sweeping views and a glimpse into Ireland’s prehistoric past. You’ll also enjoy a stop in Kilronan, the island’s main village, with time for lunch and exploration.

Following your island adventure, return by transfer to Galway, where your evening is free to relax and soak up the lively atmosphere of this vibrant city.

Dublin

After breakfast, set out from Galway on a guided tour of Connemara, a region famed for its wild beauty, rich culture, and striking contrasts of mountain, valley, and sea. Passing through Moycullen and Oughterard on the shores of Lough Corrib, the landscape soon opens into a patchwork of lakes, bogs, and rugged hills.

Stops include Maam Cross, with its “Quiet Man” cottage replica, the village of Leenane, and the enchanting Kylemore Abbey and Gardens. Here you’ll enjoy time for lunch and a visit to the 19th-century abbey, now home to Benedictine nuns. Continuing on, discover Letterfrack National Park and the colourful town of Clifden, long regarded as the heart of Connemara and famously linked to Alcock and Brown’s pioneering transatlantic flight.

The return journey winds through traditional Gaeltacht villages where Irish is still spoken daily, before following the coastline back to Galway with views across Galway Bay towards the Burren. In the evening, board your train for the comfortable journey back to Dublin, bringing your Irish adventure to a close.
